Two different challenges at CarNext called for the same discipline: make the process clear, align the people involved and coordinate the work across systems and countries.
Bring order to payments
Cars were often paid for in several instalments. Without a consistent reference, matching those payments to the right order was difficult. Introducing a clear order number became the core of the solution.
Connect the complete process
I clarified what needed to be built, including the pro forma and invoice flow. I was responsible for the CRM side and coordinated with the teams responsible for other systems so the process would work end to end.
Align before building
I brought in a designer early to make the intended solution visual before development started. This helped executives and country managers understand what we were building and contribute before the solution reached them.
Manage a phased shutdown
In a separate assignment, I helped with the closure of CarNext’s business model across seven countries. The countries did not all stop operating at the same time. I led developers and IT specialists through a structured shutdown of systems and websites, while protecting the countries that still needed to operate.
