KLM · Product Manager, Hub Operations

Making hub operations work smarter.

At KLM, I work on technology behind hub operations. Two examples show how that work connects operational challenges with automation and better data.

Auto Reflight

Baggage left behind at Amsterdam needs to be sent onwards to the passenger. I worked on the introduction of Auto Reflight to automate that rerouting, helping passengers get their belongings back sooner and reducing the associated claim costs.

Better operational data

I also worked on a tool to automatically improve data quality for the Air France-KLM baggage I-Rate KPI. The focus was on improving the underlying data, rather than claiming a direct improvement in the operational KPI itself.

My contribution

As a product manager, I connect operational needs with technology delivery. These initiatives bring that role into focus: understanding the operational problem, shaping an appropriate solution and helping turn it into something people can use.

The takeaway

Better passenger outcomes, enabled by technology
